Audemars Piguet x Swatch Royal Pop - Dark Blue
Now available limited supply available now!
The Audemars Piguet x Swatch Royal Pop in Dark Blue is one of eight limited colorways in the most significant watch collaboration of 2026. For the first time in 54 years of Royal Oak history, Audemars Piguet has licensed its iconic silhouette to an outside brand -- and the result is the Royal Pop.
Inspired by the original 1986 Pop Swatch, the Royal Pop features the Royal Oak's unmistakable octagonal bezel and Grande Tapisserie dial pattern in a modular format: the watch head pops out of its housing and can be worn on the wrist, hung on a lanyard as a pendant, or carried as a pocket watch. This Dark Blue edition wears a deep navy case and integrated strap with the richest, most formal presence in the entire lineup -- making it the most versatile everyday choice -- the navy suits formal and casual wear equally, appealing to the broadest collector base.
Why the Royal Pop Matters
This is not just another Swatch collaboration. Audemars Piguet is an independent Swiss manufacture with no corporate connection to Swatch Group -- unlike Omega, which is owned by Swatch. Licensing the Royal Oak silhouette required AP to voluntarily hand its most valuable design asset to an outside party for the very first time. The Royal Pop puts the Royal Oak DNA on the wrist of an entirely new generation, at $400 Swatch retail (Lepine) / $420 (Savonnette) -- roughly 1.3% of the steel Royal Oak Selfwinding $30,000+ retail price.

The Modular Pop Swatch Format
The case pops in and out of its housing in seconds -- no tools required. On the wrist, it reads like a watch. On a lanyard, it becomes a pendant. The modularity is the point: this is the Royal Oak set free from convention, just as the original Royal Oak in 1972 was steel set free from affordable pricing.
A Note on Rarity and Resale
The MoonSwatch -- Swatch's 2022 collaboration with Omega -- sold out globally within hours of launch. Secondary market prices hit 3-5x retail on release day. The Royal Pop is the more consequential collaboration: an independent manufacturer, a mechanical movement, and a design that has never been officially reproduced by anyone outside Le Brassus. The May 16, 2026 global launch sold out in hours at every Swatch boutique worldwide. Secondary market prices opened at $1,500 to $5,000 and above. The Dark Blue colorway, in particular, is commanding significant secondary market premiums following the sold-out May 16 global launch.
